Darance Chimerica Maasaw
Maasaw katsina carving Darance Very well made and properly fearsome version of the Maasaw or Death Spirit katsina by Darance Chimerica. This is the katsina form of the sponsor and protector of the Hopi people. Unlike some versions of Maasaw, the sticks used in making the pahos on the back of the head are sturdy. This figure is 10 ¾” tall not including the feathers and pahos.
