Domaru Armor with Dark Blue Lacing, Helmet and Wide Arm-Protectors, Muromachi Period (16th Century) (Kenkun Shrine, Kyoto) , Kyoto National Museum. Domaru-style armor was worn by foot soldiers. This style of armor encircles the soldier's body with the edges and is fastened on the right side. This armor has many aspects of classic domaru armor, but the twelve-sectioned kusazuri skirt and the small shikoro neck-protectors are unique characteristics of armor made in the late-Muromachi Period.
