This group of toy soldiers are among the eight toy soldiers released by Marx in 1961, following the launch of the film Babes in Toyland. These molded plastic figures are hand painted. This is the larger of the two sizes of soldiers released; they're 3 inches tall (7.7 cm).

Here's another obscure Toy Story character that's been fêted by Medicom, and as usual, they've done a terrific job. The injection mold ring on the back of its head, and the 'flash' seam fringing the edges of the figure are there, even though the current manufacturing technology could easily eliminate them.
