Like any exercise, technique is extremely important to get results and prevent injury.

With any tongue exercises, it’s important to learn how to isolate your tongue muscle without creating any strain in your jaw, mouth muscle (orbicularis oris), and chin muscles (mentalis and depressors).

Notice how in this exercise my entire face is relaxed (especially around the mouth). I’m only engaging my tongue. This is the key to any tongue exercise.

If you feel any jaw, mouth or chin tension 
✅ Practise tension releasing exercises for your jaw (masseter and Lateral pterygoid especially).
