Here in Seattle, the air feels cooler and the leaves are starting to turn yellow. I am excited for the fall months ahead because everything just feels cozy and golden. There will be a lot of cloudy and rainy days, typical of the Pacific Northwest, when all I want to do is curl up with a nic

This is the Pearl Cross by Dianna Stevens. You can find it in her book "Tatterly's Delight". I didn't add any beads to it, I just love it the way it is. It is such a nice little pattern. I used Lizbeth Size 20 thread, variegated on the shuttle and white for the ball thread. This is my motif # 8 the second time around. Dianna's website has been down for a few years now but you can still access it through the web archive. Here is the link for the pattern…

The thread Marie sent for the shuttle exchange was completely used up making this swirl square bookmark. The Swirl is a pattern I made up more than a year ago. It has more rounds than this one, but I didn't want to use up all the thread before I got the tail made, so I only did three rounds. The tail is pearle tatted. Hey everyone, sorry about not posting any of my tatting projects, but I've been working on a sewing project that has taken most of my time. That sewing project is almost complete, so once its finished, I'll share it with you. For now, here is some tatting! Done in Lizbeth size 80, #603 and #138. Motif #1 of my second challenge. I made this Autumn bookmark by Mark Myers for my Grandfather's birthday. This is a really pretty pattern, and I like how these two colors look together. Done in…

This was designed in March 3, 2020. I was still a tatting newbie at that time, but wanted to make something practical with tatting. So, I came up the idea to tat something on the paperclip, as well…

After spending weeks tatting snowflakes, wrapping gifts, and getting ready for the Holidays, I've finally had a chance to sit down and do something more relaxing. I decided that I wanted to try sketching some potential designs the old fashioned way...with pencil and paper. Many doodles and pieces of paper later, I ended up with a butterfly and a heart: Prior to this, I had been exclusively using Kaleidoscope Drawing Pad to come up with ideas. While this app works really well for snowflakes…
