#Beyer-Garratt locomotive of the South African Railways on the route Waterfall-Komatipoort, built in 1953-54 by Henschel. Track gauge 1067 mm (Cape track). A Beyer-Garratt consists of two locomotives with a common boiler. Behind the cab is the fuel stock and part of the water supply. The South African Class 15C 4-8-2 of 1925 is a South African steam locomotive from the South African Railways era. In 1925 the South African Railways placed two American-built Class 15C steam locomotives with a 4-8-2 Mountain type wheel arrangement in service. Another ten locomotives were ordered and delivered a year later.
