When choosing colors for your outfits, I recommend selecting lighter, neutral tones and more muted shades. You can never go wrong with light neutral colors like cream, taupe, or light gray. The camera loves shades of soft pinks and muted blues, mixed with sophisticated light-colored neutrals. That softer, more pastel-leaning color palette fits beautifully into almost all natural outdoor environments –– and especially complements the mountains!

When planning for family, maternity or engagement photos, I encourage you to start by choosing a color pallette that appeals to you. Whether its made up of your all-time favorite colors, your home decor color scheme, or colors surrounding your favorite new pair of shoes, starting with an idea of the colors you like is the best place to begin your planning!
