Gardening Life on Instagram: "🌹Have you seen these terracotta vessels before? They’re actually used to cool down wine, and I’ve already come across four for $2-$4 while thrifting. I originally got them to use as ollas for my smaller pots, but wanted to emulate the Teva planter or Terra base planter that people use to grow orchids and moss. I got some moss from behind the boulder in front of our house and a maidenhair fern we had that was struggling because it didn’t have enough moisture. I layered them onto the side of the pot and wrapped it with fishing line. I got to enjoy this for a few cool months before the heatwave we had recently. I don’t think it would’ve worked as well as the teva planter, but it was a fun experiment.
