This is the first week's assignment I did for Jama Jurabaev's Learn Squared course. The medium and small buildings were made in 3D coat by extruding custom made height maps from Photoshop. I disobeyed orders and used Modo instead of 3D coat for the skyscrapers as I felt it would be more suitable for simple polygonal shapes. I decided to add in flying cars at the last moment using a car model I grabbed online. The buildings and cars are replicated dozens of times with Keyshot's pattern tool…

For Mega City we set out to make a POI larger than anything we’ve done in previous seasons. To achieve this we utilized large non-breakable sections of buildings that wouldn’t contribute to our relatively small actor count limit on lower end platforms.
