I've tested quite a few Gesso recipes, but this one has worked the best for me so far. For this project you'll need: 3 parts cornstarch, 3 parts baking soda, 1 part Elmer's glue, 1 part white acrylic paint, and 2-3 parts water. First, mix the cornstarch and baking soda together

Henri Hagelberg on Instagram: "How to make texture paste? 🎨  I get asked this question multiple times a day, so here's again my recipe for making your own texture paste. 🙌  ➡️ Primary ingredigent is filler.  By filler, I mean the general category of products used to fill holes and cracks in walls, such as joint-compound, plaster or renovation filler. Note that not all will work. Some will crack and crumble once dry. You need to experiment to find one that works (or learn from someone who has found the exact brands that work and are also available to you). Primary reasons for cracking in my experience are either using poor quality texture paste or spreading the textures too thick in a single layer. 

Although you could make your own texture paste easily (I shared a tutorial reel two days ago, you can find it from my profile), if you plan to sell your artwork, I'd recommend using a ready made texture paste intended for arts and crafts. 

Different manufacturers call their texture pastes with different names, so look for terms such as texture paste, structure paste, modelling paste or molding paste.
