Having seen the works of Antonio Gaudi when we visited Barcelona several years ago, we were very surprised to learn about Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser, who seemed like Gaudi's artistic soul mate. The buildings designed by Hundertwasser have a very similar whimsical, vivid and dynamic look and feel to Gaudi's works. The Hundertwasser House has been constructed by Peter Pelikan, a long time friend of Friedensreich Hundertwasser, dedicated to the life and work of the famous Viennese artist. Nice place to visit and learn about Hundertwasser art and history. The entrance fee includes a voucher for a free beer & brezel which you can redeem in the nearby beergarden :)
