Happy Friday everyone! I'm so excited for our Spring CAL (crochet-a-long)! They have me thinking of the bright, bold and beautiful colors of Spring! The Berry Patch Bunnies have been one of my favorite patterns to date and when brainstorming for our Spring CAL I knew we had to have a mini version! These wee little ones measure about 8 inches tall, almost half the size of their larger versions. If you missed them last year you can find the girl version here and the boy here! Since they have a…
I'm super excited to introduce you to Sophie the Swan! She's a fun and quick make with her body and head as one piece. And those wings? Loving the feathers! I've been trying to be more intentional about working through the stash of yarn I had on hand and boy do I have a lot of Lion Brand Feels Like Butta! I knew it would be perfect for this project and I paired it with their Jeans yarn to compliment. I'll share the shades I used below! If you're new to amigurumi be sure to check out our Tips…
Meet Miles and Millie the Moose! They love to explore, snack on foliage and are the right size for cuddles! When I made Ray the Reindeer I knew I wanted to make a moose too, they are such a fun winter animal with unique shapes to capture in crochet. Both Miles and Millie are made with the same pattern below, the only difference is in the ruffled edge added to Millie's outfit. Bows and scarves are optional as added detail! Miles would also be handsome sporting a bow tie like this one in the…
I'm so excited Fall is here! I love that each season brings different colors and weather. Here in the Pacific Northwest we usually get a lot of rain but it also makes for a lot of green and pretty views! When October hits I usually think of candy corn. I actually don't like the taste of them oddly enough, but I do enjoy their colors! Makes me think of falling leaves and the cozy warmth indoors! These little amigurumi candy corn stuffies work up extremely fast, can fit in your hand and the…
Make your own sweet crochet seal pup with this fun and easy amigurumi pattern on the Grace and Yarn blog!
Happy Monday everyone! I'm loving how the farm theme is slowly coming together! The addition of this horse and donkey really has me brainstorming on a goat and maybe some chicks! These two come together rather quickly for their large size. By changing the colors you could also have a super cute zebra or even add a horn for a unicorn. I love watching the personality of amaigurumi come together. This horse seems a little sassy and the donkey has a spunky attitude going on! If you've missed any…
Spring is here! And somehow Summer is just around the corner! This sweet little one was inspired by the large number of bees we've had hanging around our garden. Introducing Beatrice, our amigurumi bumblebee! If you have been on the fence about amigurumi, this is a great pattern to start with. There are few pieces that require sewing and it's a great way to practice color changes, increases and decreases. You can also check out our tutorial page here to help get you started! For this sweet…
Now that it's January, I'm already thinking of Spring! Those deep colors and pastels are calling me! They had a big inspiration for these two, plus a walk through Hobby Lobby! When I first had these two in mind I planned to make them exact replicas to the larger llamas we made last November, just in a smaller size of course. As they came together they took on their own personality. With a small size of 8 inches tall, they work up very quickly. If you're new to amigurumi you will love these…
Happy Saturday! I'm so excited to share our first pattern of 2021 with you! Making a sloth has been on my list for some time and this little guy found a home perched on my yarn shelves! But he didn't get here without a few bumps along the way. I originally designed him in our mini form (like our cows here). To get his facial features just right I ended up having to make a face piece along with some eye patches, He was pretty cute but trying to secure a safety eye between 3 layers just wasn't…
