The Imperial Forums are a long series of monumental squares dating back to the period between 46 BC and 113 AD: the Forum of Caesar, built by Julius Caesar for propaganda reasons, the Forum of Augustus, built at the behest of Octavian Augustus, the Temple of Peace and the two forums of Nerva and Trajan.
