We have exciting and unexpected news to share today! The Easter Parade has returned to Magic Kingdom after being on hiatus since 2019!

Not too long ago, Dear Reader, I published a post about an early-nineteenth century gilt-decorated porcelain saucer that I described as being part of a coffee service. In it, I said that we drink our coffee at Darlington House from what are correctly-termed "cans" and not "cups." A number of my readers wrote to me and asked me to explain what I meant by that. One or two even wondered, incredulously, did I mean we drink our coffee from the metal cans that coffee is sold in? No, not at all…

The NYC Easter Bonnet Parade is one of the best free, annual events in New York City. Every year, thousands of New Yorkers get dressed to the nines in their most flamboyant, spectacular and creative Easter costumes and bonnets, to parade down Fifth Avenue. It is one of the most wholesome NYC events, and it's one of my favourite-ever memories of living in New York City.
