One of the therapeutic benefits of art, for me, is to be able to throw caution to the wind and make a mess. It's refreshing to me to know that "real" artists do this too. It discourages me to see an artist who is too neat and precise. I want to see that they are human. They make mistakes. They make a mess. Just like me.
