Sixty years after the Coronation, one of the most significant events in Britain in the 20th century is brought to life in a display in the state apartments showcasing the ceremony's fabulous dresses, jewellery, and artefacts. The Queen and other members of her family have contributed personal mementos of the day to the exhibition, which is part of the annual summer opening of Buckingham Palace to tourists.
