What comes to mind when you hear "complementary colors"? When you learn a little more about the color wheel, you might get a little more inspiration about which colors to use for your home or office, while also learning more about complementary colors.

This image is part of my complementary colors exercise for my camera club. The purple BG was blotchy, so I used some PS filters--poster and texturizer. I wish the stems were longer.

Color Harmony: as suggested by the title, this piece of artwork displays a contrast between blue and orange. Specifically, purple is used with a greener-blue to produce a split complimentary.

This image shows a design with color harmony. The color scheme used in the design is split-complementary. The bright yellow is the one being complemented by the blue and purple. The main color, yellow, has a bright chroma while the split-complementary colors are darker hue. This helps us know which color complimented.

Although colors are a part of our daily lives, there are many variations to them and their uses that not everyone may take advantage of it. Take split-complementary colors, for example.
