Checked trousers may have long been an office essential, but times are changing – thanks to directional updates (ankle grazing lengths, androgynous fits, high-waisted cuts) they’re now pulling their weight off-duty too. We love contemporary grey designs teamed with co-ord blazers and trainers for a relaxed look, or chunky knits and heels for a winter evening edit. But the best bit is they’re also still a workwear winner; just add silk blouses and smart flats.
