the diagram shows how to measure an area with measurements for each piece of furniture, including two

Ok, so I have two daughters that are 2 and 3 years old. They are at the age where they are too little to walk far distances, too big to be carried for very long and too little to walk anywhere fast. We have all the equipment needed to get these 2 from point A to point B- jogging stroller, a sit and stand stroller, umbrella strollers and even a bike trailer. But I was stumped when faced with a trip to go hiking with my husband's family. So I got online to buy some type of back carrier for the…

an origami folded up on top of a wooden table with red and green flowers

Based on several examples on the internet- I made myself a casserole carrier. Pretty easy peasy. I cut a 22 by 22 inch square of two fabrics. Along with a 22 by 22 piece of Insul Bright. Clipped equal triangles of the corners. Turned in edges and top stitched. Made a strap and sewed it on. Then made the little loops that went over the handle. Done!

(hot on the heals of my post about baby wearing...) (this little show and tell has been auto posted to entertain you while I'm off on vacation!) Of all my kiddos, Clare and James have been the most frequently "worn" babies. Clare doesn't remember the all the cozy times she spent spitting up down my chest, but she does see me wear James often enough. And what I do with James, Clare does with Sally: nurse, dress, rock, bounce, sing to, toss off the play set. (Oh no, wait. I don't do that last…

the back side of a paper doll's overalls

Well, since my youngest is now potty-trained... I will soon stop sewing cloth diapers (at least none for my own family). Soooo, I have taken on a few new projects. One is a quilt that my son requested I sew for him over a year ago made from many of his old character pajamas. He told me I was NOT allowed to give away several of them. So, I am trying to get that done before Christmas for him. I also have to make him two pairs of pajamas before his birthday (on Halloween). AND, I promised a…
