Do you have a bucket filler classroom? I just love this method of spreading kindness and practicing empathy. It is simple enough for kids to understand and practice, and can make a big difference in classroom management as a positive instead of punitive tool.

After reading the book "Have You Filled a Bucket Today" each child made their own bucket out of a paper cup, colored paper, and pipe cleaner. Every time they do something to fill someone else's "bucket" they add pom poms to their bucket and when their bucket is full they get a bucket filler award and a home work pass!
