Alice in wonderland altered book

This is a work in progress on a large French dictionary and using Alice in Wonderland illustrations from another book.

Hi there. Today I’m sharing a decorated Book Box. To be honest, this is a re-makeover as I’m using a book box I decorated way back in September 2015 . Most of us move on, learn new techniques and , hopefully, improve. And when I looked at the book box on my shelf, I knew it was not nearly as good as it could be so I tore some bits off, left most of the leaves on it, covered it in black gesso, then started it’s second makeover. Altered book project. We had to alter the book to reflect the content of the interior. I used the Collected Works of Lewis Carroll for my piece, and created a piece reflecting the moment where Alice meets the Cheshire Cat.

Down the Rabbit Hole book Over at Altered Alice Blog..... the challenge this pat month has been to use text as a background... Oh my goodness... what a sheer delight this was!!!
