Fabergé - Stoat
Atoar c.1907. Opal, cabochon rubies. Included among the many animal sculptures by Fabergé in the Royal Collection are a number of miniature pieces. These are prime examples of the extrordinary attention to detail of Fabergés craftsmen, even on a tiny scale. This example of a stoat is typically English and is believed to have formed part of the Sandringham commission.Text adapted from Fabergés Animals: A Royal Farm in Miniature
