Japanese Food - Yaki Onigiri, Grilled Rice Ball with Spicy Miso
EKIBEN are railway box meals sold on trains and train stations throughout Japan. They often contain local specialties from the region. The Daruma Bento (sold in Takasaki Station, Gunma) comes in a lucky Daruma bento case that can be kept as souvenirs of your journey. It is said that the history of ekiben began in the late 19th century at Utsunomiya Station, which contained a simple Onigiri (rice ball).
