Peterborough secondary school league tables - How did your school do?
The tables revealing how each secondary school in #Peterborough did in last year's exam results have been published. ▶️ Ken Stimpson Community School = Only 30% of students received Grade 5 or above in English and maths. ▶️ Queen Katharine Academy = Just 9% of students received Grade 5 or above in English and maths. ☹️ Peterborough as a whole was rated as below average, 32% of pupils in the city achieved a grade 5 or above in English and maths, compared to a national average of 43%.

Eton apologises to Nigerian ex-student Onyeama for racism
Nigerian writer Dillibe Onyeama obtained his school-leaving certificate from Eton in 1969. Large rise in fines for unauthorised absences at Peterborough schools

Date set for appeal over new Catholic school in Peterborough
Decision for controversial primary school 🏫 earmarked for #HamptonWater given the nod by Tory controlled council, prompts challenge from 1 Green and 2 Lib Dem councillors. ▶️ School would be the first state-funded ✝️ Catholic school in England for more than 10 years. ▶️ It would also have a 30 place 👶 nursery. ▶️ It's 90% funded by Government - with the council having to pay between £1.1 million and £1.5 million. ▶️ Admissions policy will be “reviewed annually by the school governing body”.
