173 reactions · 14 shares | Can I use acrylic paint on raw clay? The answer is YES! 🎨✨ Many of you have asked, and yes you can apply acrylic paint before baking your clay pieces. Just one important tip: make sure to use thin layers, like soft brush strokes. If you add too much paint, it might bubble up in the oven (although sometimes the bubbles give it a cute texture if you gently press them after baking hehe). In my experience, acrylic paint sticks better to raw clay than after it’s been baked. But don’t forget to seal your piece with a varnish or resin so the colors last longer the sun can cause fading over time 🌞 Hope this little tip helps!
