P/O Josef A Jaške was a Czech founder member who joined No 312 Squadron RAF at RAF Duxford on 5 September 1940, with 2 and 1 shared destroyed in April and May, while serving with GC II/5 in France. On 11 October, he was flying Hurricane Mk I DU-X, when the aircraft was hit by return fire from a Do 17, but managed to return to base.
