René Lalique (French, 1860-1945) - This orchid comb is carved from a single piece of ivory and is set on a gold stem striped with brown enamel. Three leaves extend from the base of the blossom rendered in "plique-à-jour" enamel graduated in hue from delicate peach to pale olive. The central vein of each leaf begins with a short section of light grey enamel and is followed by a row of graduated diamonds 1903-1904. | The Walters Art Museum.

Tillya Tepe & The Bactrian Treasure (145 BC)
Bactrian Gold Crown, c. 100 AD. This crown shows a significant connection between the Greeks and Han Chinese, as well as the Central Asian and Scytho-Siberian nomads, when it comes to the gold crown from Tillya-Tepe in Bactria. It was found in the tomb of a nomadic Saka woman. A plethora of round gold pendants adorns the band and ornaments, which come off easily so they can be packed away. http://barbaraanneshaircombblog.com/2014/05/15/the-gold-crowns-of-mycenae-bactria-and-silla/
