Close up of an Iris. Iris Recognition Technology. Iris Recognition is the process of identifying an individual by the unique pattern of their Iris, which is the coloured part around the pupil. Central heterochromia is the uneven distribution of pigment in the eye, a genetic mutation. I've often wished I had Heterochromia iridum (eyes of two different colors) but, this is just as cool, I think. Those pictures are just about how my eyes look.
